The Pan Arab Conference On Diabetes (PACD) brings together Diabetes specialists, graduate trainees, Diabetes educators, family physicians, dietitians, Diabetes researchers, pharmacists, podiatrists, Nurses, Endocrinologists and health care professionals.

Congrès de la Société Francophone du Diabète 2013 (SFD 2013)

Montpellier a le plaisir d’accueillir, du 26 au 29 Mars 2013, le congrès annuel de la Société Francophone du Diabète (SFD).

Ici, l’Université et l’enseignement de la Médecine sont nés avec la Cité. La ville a la tradition de chérir Savoir et Recherche avec ses 65000 étudiants et sa dizaine de milliers d’enseignants et de chercheurs, porteurs de vie et d’innovation.

Avec ses 4500 participants, le congrès Diabète est un événement majeur réunissant tout ce que la francophonie a de forces scientifiques, médicales et soignantes impliquées dans la lutte contre cette maladie et ses conséquences humaines et économiques. Au-delà, il s’agit d’une occasion unique d’échanges intergénérationnels et de partage pluri-culturel francophone, dans une ville qui s’y prête.

La localisation du Palais des Congrès «Le Corum», en plein centre ville, permet de concilier l’assiduité au programme scientifique et le temps de la découverte des ruelles, places et nombreux hôtels particuliers de l’Ecusson, coeur de la ville historique.

Venez apprendre, transmettre et échanger sur le diabète en ce printemps 2013 à Montpellier.

The World Diabetes Congress 2013

Editorial

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is pleased to announce that the 2013 World Diabetes Congress (WDC) will be held in the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) in Melbourne, Australia, from 2 to 6 December 2013. This is the second time in the IDF's 60-year history that the premier event for the diabetes field will be held in the Western Pacific Region, which has the largest percentage of undiagnosed cases and the highest number of deaths attributable to diabetes.
 

Objectives

The IDF World Diabetes Congress brings together the whole diabetes community attracting over 12,000 scientists, health professionals, health ministers, policy-makers, industry, media, and people with diabetes and provides a global platform to share knowledge, the results of the leading scientific advances and practical aspects related to diabetes care, education and advocacy.
 

Program

Over 350 speakers and 70 exhibitors will be given the platform to showcase their diabetes expertise, research and breakthroughs in the field of diabetes. Participants include educate physicians, scientists, nurses, educators, endocrinologists, diabetologists, research scientists and other healthcare professionals, as well as government representatives, policy makers, people with diabetes, representatives from IDF member associations and members of the press.

The biennial event will focus on a strong scientific program combined with debates, teaching lectures, workshops and presentations on the latest trends and discoveries in the field of Diabetes. Other related activities, including satellite symposia, exhibitions and affiliated events, will contribute to an exceptional opportunity for professional development and networking.

Beyond scientific research, the event will also strengthen the global diabetes community and link the work of member associations, people with diabetes, and health professionals to global advocacy to improve the lives of people with diabetes.

It is a great pleasure to announce the 5th annual conference of the
Egyptian Society of Diabetic Foot (ESDF). ESDF aims to enhance
foot care for diabetic patients in Egypt and Arab World through
spreading knowledge and enhancing active collaboration between all
specialties interested in saving both limbs and lives of diabetic
patients.
We are delighted that the conference of this year will be organized
in collaboration with the Middle East and North Africa Diabetic Foot
Group (MENA DF). Expertise from the MENA region will enrich
mutual experience between different professionals working in the
field of the diabetic foot.
